So apparently several students thought that the flaming picture on my page and my comment about a fire was just me joking around or something. Nope. I really missed 6th grade Locker-Move-In Day because a fire started in my home. Luckily it was just confined to a ceiling fan area and quickly done. Little Elm Fire Department rocks! By the way, if your ceiling fan shakes, you could start a fire to get it fixed ASAP! Don’t wait like I did!
I am not ready to be back yet! I mean, I am in the sense that I’m excited about the wonderful things we’re going to do this year in my classes, but I’m not prepared in that I’m still trying to figure out what to add and what not to add to the curriculum, etc. Plus I still need to hang up a few things in my lab…. Oh, and they are installing Windows 7 and Office 2010 in my lab! YAY!
I am SOOOO looking forward to the summer and a longer stretch of time to replan my lessons, redo this page, and work on my novels. I think everyone is ready for a break. Something about this second semester just felt…long. Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying my school year but I’m ready for a bit of a refresher before the next one. :)
